About us

We aim to provide a positive, interactive platform for SA’s rising stars to share their success stories and appeal for assistance or support from our amazing community in achieving even further heights.

Where it all started

 

 

Bet on Better has been operational since January 2020. Its initial aim was to provide a platform for South Africa’s sporting stars to have an opportunity to compete internationally through a fund-raising campaign. However, since the advent of Covid-19, Bet on Better has shifted its focus towards outreach work in South Africa.
Our main charity goes to the Marico Care Trust and the Many Hands in the North West. In addition to that, we work with Gauteng Together, and support the various CANs (Community Action Networks). The support is in the form of food parcels and blankets.

 

 

What inspired us

 

 

The need in South Africa is so great, that I believe that is our civic responsibility to help fellow citizens. I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of responses to my request for help, which shows that I am not alone in believing that all who can, should help those less fortunate. There is a huge amount of goodwill in the country and now, more than ever, we need to pull together.
